Love Yourself First
It's always interesting how the world works... and all we have to do is simply listen. I have been on this path of spiritual growth and self love for some time now and the video that I have attached below couldn't have explained the importance of loving yourself first any better.
Love yourself before you enter a relationship. Well... why wouldn't we for we are all that we truly know. We are what we search for in a significant other. Being alone is what we fear because we believe that in order to understand who we are we need someone else to show us. No, we don't. All you have ever needed is yourself to fill that void you feel within yourself. Once you find that you are in control of your happiness, your peace, your anger and all of your choices will you be able to realize that being alone is not misery... that being alone is not weakness... that being alone does not mean you cannot grow. The reality is that you first have to open your eyes and change your view from external to internal (meaning within yourself). Once you do this, a world unknown to your conscious mind will flood your very being, filling you with emotions you stored away long ago, filling you with the ability to see the separation between your ego and yourself, filling you with the ability to find the strength to be alone and to be free. For once you have conquered the fear of losing, the fear of being alone in this physical realm is when you will see imminent growth within yourself, is when you will begin to change, shine, and love like you never have before. It is this realization that will build you into the person you've never dreamt of being. It is this progression that will attract the like people your way. It is this confidence, peace and reassurance that will make you the utmost compatible with a person who is traveling on the same path as you. And with this, one can continually nourish the growth of the other as the other does the same for the one.
